Chris Sovey, RN BSN

Chris Sovey is the founder of HealthyConsumer.com. He is a Registered Nurse, with extensive background in natural treatment approaches to chronic depressive disorders. Within his practice as a medical professional, Chris noticed a lack of interaction between disciplines in the delivery of quality, health / wellness – based consumer information, and a certain degree of close-mindedness within the traditional medical system. Over time, Chris became increasingly interested in the formation of a website that would serve as a single point of information to deliver a variety of approaches to enhance health & wellness through various means.  He is honored to bring you this website, in hopes that it may serve you as a guide along your health journey.

Dr. Craig Oster, PhD

In 1994, at the age of 30, Dr. Craig Oster was given the “death sentence” diagnosis of ALS, better known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.”  Even though Dr. Craig’s physical functioning was slipping away, he successfully fought to fulfill his dream of earning a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Michigan State University in 1996.

What you can type in three minutes, currently takes Dr. Craig a half-hour or more to do. The monster ALS is a degenerative neuromuscular disease where the body slowly loses all muscle function until the person afflicted becomes completely muscularly paralyzed, yet is still able to see and hear. Failure of the respiratory muscles is usually the killer. Most people affected with ALS die within 3-5 years after receiving the diagnosis.

According to the established medical guidelines, Dr. Craig Oster should be dead by now, and certainly not working out in the rehab gym three times weekly, organizing a national holistic health campaign, working with Hollywood producers to develop a holistic healing television series, inspiring people daily on YouTube /Facebook / Twitter and preparing to conduct scientific research with ALS patients.

Dr. Craig is on a mission to continue to improve and to give millions who are suffering physically, mentally, or emotionally, the inspiration and hope that they thought was beyond their grasp. He recently founded The Healers holistic-oriented medical research and educational campaign, which is supported by nearly fifty integrative health experts from around the world, including Dr Bruce Lipton, Dr Bernie Siegel, Dr Robert O. Young, Dr Ann Louise Gittleman, Dr Henry Grayson, Donna Eden and Dr David Feinstein, Jonathan Goldman, Dr Thomas Lodi, Dr Stephan Hausner, Dr Leigh Erin Connealy, Dr Arnold Mindell and Dr Amy Mindell, Dr Peter A. Levine, Dr William Bengston, Dr Frank Lipman, Dr Richard Linchitz, Dr Jay Lombard, Dr Ronald Peters, Dr Edward Group, Dr Sam Keen, Dr Darren Weissman, Dr Frank Kinslow and Dr Mehl-Madrona.
